OnRamp Update – Vendor Part Master Redesign

Several weeks ago, the OnRamp support team received a request to add a new variable pricing frame to the Vendor Part Master by Part [S1135] screen.  This new functionality would allow users to input variable pricing data supplied from any part or material vendors.

Since the updated screen with the variable pricing was released, OnRamp’s support team has received several user requests suggesting that we add the variable pricing feature to other vendor price related screens. Our developers found that Vendor Part Master by Vendor [S1139] and Vendor Part Master Cost Inquiry [S1985] had many of the same fields that the Vendor Part Master by Vendor [S1139] did.

At OnRamp we are always looking for new ways to improve the user experience and user interface of our software so we decided to redesign the Vendor Part Master by Part screen. This new screen would include the features and functionality of the Vendor Part Master by Part, Vendor Part Master by Vendor and Vendor Part Master Cost Inquiry screens.

The resulting amalgamation is the new Vendor Part Master [S1148] screen which will help users find all their vendor part and pricing information they need all on one screen.  This new compact screen now includes filters for both vendor and part number searches without the need to open 2 separate screens. There is also the new “Costing” tab that includes the pricing fields from the Vendor Part Master Cost Inquiry and Vendor Part Master by Vendor screens. The “Info” tab includes all the original information fields previously found on the Vendor Part Master by Vendor Screen.

Lastly, we have the new variable pricing frame which is located at the bottom of the screen.
